Brad Dobbin

Vice President, ND Dobbin Group

Brad Dobbin is the Vice President of the ND Dobbin Group, a family owned NL construction firm with a 40 year history of delivering a broad range of commercial and industrial projects across Canada. Brad is primarily responsible for business development and he strives to keep his company at the forefront of leading edge construction technologies and progressive methods.

In fact, technology has always been Brad's great passion. From connecting to BBSes over 300 baud modem on his Atari II,  to his latest enthusiasm, 3D printing, Brad has always had a knack for discovering the latest and best in IT innovation and technology.

Prior to joining the family business, Brad was instrumental to the success of several tech start-ups. As a key member of the original team at Telepix Imaging in St. John's, Brad was responsible for designing, implementing and delivering complex IT solutions for a variety of top tier international retailers, including McDonalds, Loblaws, Kodak, and Boots the Chemist.

With another tech startup, Vancouver based Photochannel Networks, Brad spearheaded the introduction of digital photo sharing services to Canadian mobile carriers; signing some of the largest retail clients in North America including Walmart, Sam's Club, and Costco.

Currently, Brad is a founder of St. John's first co-working space, Common Ground, and is a member of Startup St. John's. He feels strongly about the importance of growing and championing the local tech community.

He lives in St. John's, with his amazing wife Susanne, and three beautiful girls: Lucy, Katie and Molly.  When he's not chasing them around the yard, he can probably be found tinkering with his 3D printer.
