Chris Dillon - 2017

Chris DillonFor over 16 years I have been actively involved in the IT sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. During this time I met many of the terrific, energetic and knowledgeable people in our technology industry and I have had excellent experiences along the way. When I graduated from the Facility of Business at Memorial University I never set out to focus  on technology, but I can honestly say it something I continue to enjoy every day.

Since 2003 I have been a member of the Triware sales, marketing and business development teams. From a day to day perspective, my core competencies focus on marketing, communications, business processes and technology management. This regularly includes corporate marketing activities, business analysis / management and leadership for our web and application development division.

As my current responsibilities include a variety of technology management and consulting for both public and private sector clients throughout our province, I am provided the opportunity to be involved with many topics, including those that directly affect the business operations of those that make up the environment surrounding us.

As with many in our industry, I too see the opportunities and issues facing advanced technology-based organizations in our community. Improving the overall focus on our sector as a catalyst for economic growth and ensuring a qualified labour market are just two areas for advancement. I feel the advocacy and policy efforts put forth by the NATI work towards these goals and make our industry strong.

Since 2013 I have been an active member of the NATI Board of Directors. I have greatly enjoyed this experience and feel I still have more to contribute to NATI, our members and our overall sector growth.
