NEIA’s Innovation Connector

The Innovation Connector matches clean technology research across multiple sectors of Newfoundland and Labrador's Economy with market opportunities and business needs.

The event helps discover local research expertise within our university and colleges with an eye to solving existing challenges or generating new business ideas and initiatives.

This event is part of Newfoundland and Labrador's Innovation Week, a province-wide celebration focusing on furthering growth and developing new opportunities in sectors that include information technology, ocean technology, oil and gas and the green economy.

The Innovation Connector will feature speakers from Newfoundland and Labrador's university and colleges introducing the clean technology research they are involved in, and private industry businesses outlining the challenges they are facing which could be addressed with help from academic experts. Presentations will be divided amongst a number of key themes, and participants are encouraged to come and go from the sessions as they see fit.

The connector room, where businesses and researchers will share information and explore opportunities, will be supported by the presence of agencies who can provide guidance and supports forpartnerships between academia and industry.

Tickets for the Innovation Connector are $25 each, plus HST and an electronic payment fee.Your registration includes a buffet-style lunch, coffee, and nutritional snacks.You are encouraged to come and go from the event as the agenda interests you.
