President Carolyn O'Keefe discusses MQO Research, their approach to the collection and analysis of data, their accomplishments, and their new, innovative product,Atlantic Matters,which sets them apart from the rest.

What we do:

Beginning as two separate companies, MarketQuest and Omnifacts came together in 2010 to become MarketQuest- Omnifacts under the group m5 umbrella. As one company, MQO Research is a national caliber, full-service marketing research firm that offers an integrated range of quantitative and qualitative research services. With over thirty years of experience conducting research with Atlantic Canadians, 20 full-time staff and a team of approximately 120 part-time staff, as well as offices in St. John's, Halifax, Moncton and Richibucto, MQO Research is a one-stop research shop.

Our company takes a fresh approach to research as we go beyond the data to help clients make informed and sound decisions. Using a variety of data collection tools, including telephone and online surveys, on-site/in person interviews, focus groups, and more, MQO Research is able to ask the right questions, gather reliable data, and draw insightful conclusions.

MQO Research works with clients in the key industries and sectors in Atlantic Canada. Some of our more notable clients include Bell Aliant, Atlantic Lottery Corporation, Marine Atlantic, and the provincial governments of the provinces in which we operate.

As a company we've got a lot to be proud of. Our qualified and dedicated team is well-suited to provide first-rate service to our clients. MQO Research is a Gold Seal Accredited Member of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association which oversees research practices in Canada. Four of our staff members are accredited in market research and hold the professional designation of Certified Marketing Research Professional. I am proud to say that when I wrote the certification exam last year I scored the highest mark in the country.  On an exciting note, a colleague and I will be co-chairing the upcoming 2012 National Marketing Research Conference in St. John's which will boast over 300 national delegates.
