The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Technology Industries (NATI) invites eligible companies to submit applications to participate in the  2017- 2018 NATI  Export Internship Program.

The NATI Export Internship Program is designed to offer work opportunities for Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) university and college graduates, and to provide potential and existing exporters with quality trade advisory services. Selected companies will engage a graduate for a period of one (1) year, with substantial funding support through the Program.

Since 2011, this program has provided valuable assistance to exporting and export-ready firms in our province.

The Program provides hands-on work experience for NL graduates and contributes towards strengthening the export performance of the province by encouraging SMEs to initiate and expand export activities. The Program will provide a separate competition process for early stage and startup companies, and placements are specifically allocated for these emerging firms within the Program. Companies will contribute a minimum of 25% ($10,000) of the graduate's salary and benefits to the minimum per annum salary of $40,000, excluding all mandatory employer-related costs (MERC). The Program will contribute 75% of the intern's salary to a maximum of $30,000.

The Program is open to eligible NL-based firms who are exporting or are export ready. The selected graduates will have graduated within the past three years from a recognized post- secondary institution and reside in Newfoundland & Labrador. The NATI Export Internship Program provides potential & existing exporters with support to acquire & develop in-house quality trade advisory services, while providing new graduates with the opportunity to work for some of NL's most promising companies.
