The Lean Startup provides a scientific approach to creating and managing startups and get a desired product to customers' hands faster. The Lean Startup method teaches you how to drive a startup-how to steer, when to turn, and when to persevere-and grow a business with maximum acceleration. It is a principled approach to new product development.

About the Speaker
John Beresford is a passionate entrepreneur, speaker and
educator dedicated to building successful Canadian
While a MBA student at Wilfrid Laurier University John co-founded the technology company Eventpeeks which has evolved into one of Canada's first social media broadcasting companies delivering compelling audience experiences at live events such as: the Canadian Open (PGA), Rogers Cup (ATP), the 2015 Juno Awards, YouTube Fan Fest, FIFA Women's World Cup, TIFF.
In 2015 John co-founded The Revenue U, a organization dedicated to teaching Canadian startup companies how to generate generate early stage revenues. The Revenue U now have courses operating within Communitech, Ryerson DMZ and are the official sales training providers of the Ontario Centres of Excellence.
John continues teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Wilfrid Laurier University and serve as a program coordinator for the Wilfrid Laurier LaunchPad Program.
Previous to his current life as an entrepreneur John spent 9 years at the front lines of the SmartPhone revolution, leading sales and marketing teams at BlackBerry.
