Invitation to Participate - CNA Work Term I/Work Term III – Programmer Analyst (Business) Co-op

Co-operative Education students enrolled in College of the North Atlantic's School of Business and Information Technologyare currently seeking 12 to 16 week winter work terms beginning inMay 2016. CNA Work Term I and Work Term III Programmer Analyst (Business) students bring work experience, education and technical skills to our co-op employer partners' workplace.  Please consider the benefits of hiring Programmer Analyst (Business) Co-op students.

1st Year Programmer Analyst (Coop)

These students will have completed two academic semesters by the end of April and will embark on the first of three paid placements beginning in May.  Start dates for the students are flexible.

3rd Year Programmer Analyst (Coop)

This group will have completed five academic semesters and two work terms by the end of April.  The students will complete their third and final paid placement beginning in May.  Once again, start dates are flexible.

Skill Sets

The program's main emphasis is on the design and development of a variety of business-oriented applications using the most recent versions of widely used computer programming languages and current programming techniques. Emphasis is on database design and programming, the traditional and object-oriented system development life cycles, and web application development. As well, learning strategies, ethics, industry and work place best practices, team building, communications and interpersonal skills are developed throughout the program via coursework and participation on project teams.

We have a group of highly motivated students who wish to combine their post-secondary studies with practical experience in their chosen fields.
