Innovation Week to Highlight Advances in Multiple Sectors in Newfoundland and Labrador from May 19-22, 2015

18 Events to Take Place Over Four Days

St. John's, NL - May 19, 2015 - The second annual Innovation Week is set to take place in St. John's from May 19-22. Innovation Week is a 4-day series of events that will bring together entrepreneurs, innovative businesses and youth, with private and public partners. The goal is to forge new connections and to explore opportunities for driving innovation in a variety of industry sectors. This year, new events will take place in Grand Falls-Windsor and Corner Brook. All events are listed at www.innovationweek.ca.

With a theme of "Propelling Innovation," 22 partner organizations have organized an action-packed week of workshops, conferences and guest speakers to shine a spotlight on information technology, ocean technology, manufacturing and the green economy. The events are expected to attract over 1,200 participants and include a special "Innovation and Leadership Luncheon" on the final day at the St. John's Board of Trade, and TEDxStJohns on Friday evening.

The Government of Canada, through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), has provided funding of $39,760 to NATI to organize and deliver a series of events and programs during 2015, including this annual conference.
